Gripping
The dystopian world that Payne has created makes for a well-defined yet complex and wonderfully, terrifying read. Throughout the book a plethora of characters are introduced, each with a rich, distinct personality and each with a role an integral part of the story.
Reading this you will experience twists, turns, and jaw dropping surprises. You will see there are several storylines going on at the same time which come together beautifully.
Timelines are slightly difficult to follow at first because of different time zones, but it becomes easy to grasp as you progress.
Payne has definitely set the stage for what's clearly going to be a series full of mystery, tension, and no absence of intrigue.
